Wait, I say, on the Lord

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Psalm 27:14 KJV

Welcome to a new update! One major theme I’ve been pondering over the past couple weeks is the Lord’s faithfulness. We all go through days, or a period of days, where the spiritual attack from the enemy is at it’s peak. Whether it be thoughts, the environment, the past, situations that arise, Satan and his devils are always trying to throw the saints off course by a variety of different means. We’re called to watch and pray constantly so that we enter not into temptation.

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Matthew 26:41 KJV

This is no command to take lightly as the devil is a roaring lion, ready to exploit any weakness of his enemies.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

1 Peter 5:8 KJV

And as it goes on to state in the next verse, we’re called to actively resist the adversary with the mind that our other brothers and sisters experience the same trials who are here in the world with us.

Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

1 Peter 5:9 KJV

The Lord also knows all of the hardships and struggles we face, living a perfect life here on the earth through much tribulation, now able to be a perfect mediator and high priest for the saints on the earth, knowing our infirmities.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 4:15

I’ve found that the prayer of a righteous man availeth much, and the Lord is quick to help his saints in trouble.

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

James 5:16 KJV

Yet the Lord requires we wait sometimes, allowing patience to have her perfect work; perfecting that “holding fast” we’re charged to do unto eternal life.

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

James 1:4

My encouragement to you, and what I’ve been pondering over the past couple weeks: wait, I say, on the Lord. He will certainly strengthen your heart, he will help you overcome, he will give you the wisdom and understanding you ask for, but sometimes you must wait, hold fast, and hope on the Lord and hope in his goodness. Is it any wonder a complimentary verse to Psalm 27:14 talks about hope?

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Psalm 27:14 KJV

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, All ye that hope in the LORD.

Psalm 31:24 KJV

Website Update:

I’ll be removing the Witnessing section of the website and I’ll be posting all witnessing that takes place when not street preaching on each preaching and update post when uploaded. Much of the Witnessing posts are repeated witnessing audios from street preaching and update posts, so this will help redeem the time.

Verses of the Week

God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend. For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength. He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work. Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places. Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north. By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened. Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud: And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth. He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.
